CSCL is a small HR consulting services company, based in Dublin. We are committed to helping you build resilient, engaged talent who do “their best work” in the modern business environment. We offer training particularly in the area of Leadership Development. Managers with the right skills and attitude have a significant positive impact on the organisation’s people and profitability. Our leadership programmes start with leadership fundamentals, extending to leading change and strategy execution. 
Our Coaching Practice includes business coaching, one-on-one coaching for executives, career coaching, personal coaching, performance coaching and new-leader coaching. 
We can assist with a range of On Demand HR activities including; creating HR policies, employee handbooks, induction programmes or a people strategy. We are experienced in Corporate Governance and HR audits and can assess your current situation, and work with you to ensure your policies are legally compliant. 
If you are scaling up, our consultancy can ensure you have the right organisational model, the right leadership team, and clear roles and responsibilities that support your business strategy. If however, your need is to reduce costs and restructure (redundancy) we will assist you in leading your redundancy programme. 
Our Team 
 
Carmel Somers 
Carmel Somers is a Chartered Organisational Psychologist. Prior to setting up CSCL in 2019, Carmel held a number of senior leadership roles at IBM, in research & development, consulting services, operations and “technology for good”. Carmel was Talent Manager for IBM’s Ireland Lab, where she was responsible for all aspects of talent, from hiring through to retiring. 
 
Carmel holds a MSc in Work and Organisational Psychology from Dublin City University (DCU), a BA Hons Humanities (Psychology) and a diploma in Executive, Business and Personal Coaching from Coach Institute Ireland. 
 
Carmel is certified to conduct the Organisational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI), a validated research method to assess organisational culture and lead cultural change in businesses.

Ashley Sands 
Ashley Sands is a senior HR practitioner with over 25 years’ experience, spanning large to small organisations in a variety of industries. Ashley’s career has included senior roles in HR, Corporate Governance, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations and Project Management, with a strong emphasis on process and compliance.  
Ashley holds a Masters degree in Human Resource Management from Dublin City University (DCU), is a qualified Career Coach, holds a people analytics qualification and a Master Degree in Compliance and Governance.
